Cairngorms National Park Authority
The Transforming Transport team at the Cairngorms National Park Authority is leading on the development and delivery of the active travel and sustainable transport projects that are part of the Heritage Horizons: Cairngorms 2030 programme.
Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk, wheel, and cycle. Places for Everyone is an active travel infrastructure fund backed by the Scottish Government and administered by Sustrans. Sustrans is funded by Transport Scotland for this project.
A team of transport and active travel professionals from Stantec is helping the Park Authority with community engagement, technical assessments and turning ideas into more detailed design proposals.
AECOM is supporting the Park Authority to develop the Upper Deeside Active and Sustainable Transport project, as well as the Cairngorms Active Travel Plan, including helping with community engagement and route audits.
Ansons Consulting is helping the Park Authority develop an E-Bike Strategy, with the ambition to help residents and visitors connect more easily with e-bikes.
The active travel projects are delivered under Heritage Horizons: Cairngorms 2030, which is part funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
