Wellbeing Economy: Business Survey

Wellbeing Economy: Business Survey

The Wellbeing Economy Alliance Scotland is partnering with Cairngorms National Park Authority to explore and design the foundations of what a wellbeing economy would look for communities, businesses and visitors in the park.

A wellbeing economy is one that’s centred around the needs of nature and communities. This project is part of Heritage Horizons: Cairngorms 2030 which is empowering people who live, visit and work in the national park to tackle the climate and nature crises.

What do you understand by a ‘wellbeing economy’? How can we use resources sustainably, keep money local, invest in green jobs and our younger generations to make sure the Park remains a great place to live?

We ask you to complete our online survey to ensure the views and experience of local businesses are represented, and to tell us what support your business would need to get involved.

Business of Wellbeing Survey

The development of a wellbeing economy is key for the Cairngorms as the economy recovers from the pandemic and we tackle a cost-of-living crisis. We need to develop an economic model that benefits people and nature, aiming for a more equitable distribution of wealth, health and wellbeing: promoting local expenditure, encouraging sustainable inward investment whilst protecting the planet’s resources for future generations and other species.

This survey consists of three parts. The first part (Question 1-8) helps build a picture of the types of business responding. The second part (Question 9-15) asks you to assess your business with regards to each of the seven wellbeing economy business dimensions. The third part (Questions 16-19) is to identify what kind of support your business would need to become involved.
